Tunnel View Lookout walk is a short walk along a well-maintained management trail. At the end of the wide trail is a short narrow track leading to a large mostly flat rock platform with great views. On the far side of the gorge you can just see where train tunnel goes through the hill, you can't see the actual tunnel. You do get great views of Glenbrook Creek Gorge, the Blue Mountains and Sydney. A lovely walk.

From the dirt car parkon Mount Portal Trail, this walk follows the 'Tunnel View Lookout' sign[1] between the metal bollards(to the left of the locked gate). The walk leads past the large 'Blue Mountains National Park' information sign[2][3] (on the left) and continues gently uphill along the wide management trail. After 90m the trail leads past a cliff edge warning sign[4] (on the left). The walk continues gently uphill along the wide trail for yet another 90m to come to a turning circle at the end of the wide trail, marked with a 'Tunnel View Lookout' sign[5].

Continue straight: From the turning circle, this walk follows the 'Tunnel View Lookout' sign[6], past the 'Take care when walking near cliffs' sign[7], along the narrow rough track[8]towards the view. This short track leads to a large mostly flat rockplaftorm[9] with great views[10][11][12][13]. Please note that the cliff edge is undercut and unstable, please stay at least 5m back from the cliff edge to avoid the risk of a significant fall.

Tunnel View Lookout in the Glenbrook area of the Blue Mountains National Park, provides fantastic views[14]. The unfenced[15] rock platform[16] is on the top of a cliff forming the southern wall of Glenbrook Gorge[17]. The lookout is named after the train tunnel on the other side of the gorge, built in 1911. There are amazing views across some of the taller peaks in the park to the north west[18] and down the gorge to the plains of Western Sydney[19]. Please stay at least 5m back from the cliff edge to avoid the risk of a significant fall.

Attracting over 3 million visitors annually, Blue Mountains National Park holds some of Australia's most spectacular and diverse wilderness areas.
