Little Capertee Camping Ground

Carry in your drinking water. Fee payments are by self registration so bring correct change. Limited firewood is available.

This is a fairly large, basic campsite on the bank of Wheeny Creek. There are both picnic and camping areas. This campsite offers some flat open areas to run around, and the creek for a dip. Facilities include a toilet and fire pits, but campers need to bring their own water and firewood.

This is a popular camping area (esp in holidays). There are mining ruins to explore and a walk to the glow worm tunnel. You can treat the creek water for drinking.

The river can flood so check levels. There is a nice sandy beach section and some open flat areas to camp and play.
